Samsung has just introduced the ultra compact ST80 digital camera, a complete package with Wi-Fi and DNLA connectivity. These days more and more pocket sized digital cameras are shipping with built in Wi-Fi. Which becomes particularly helpful for uploading to Facebook and Flickr when on vacation and so long you can find a McDonald’s with free Wi-Fi. The 14.2 megapixel Samsung camera also records 720p HD video at 30fps in H.264 format. Users can make bring into play of the “Smart Auto” feature in both photo and video mode, which lets the camera come to a decision the settings based on the environment. Other important notes of interest are the 3-inch WQVGA touch screen no buttons on the back at all, 3x optical zoom, and the “Smart Crop” tool that lets photographers edit on the fly. The Samsung ST80 camera will be available in September with the retail price of $249.99.
