Mardy Fish claimed his second successive tournament victory
American Mardy Fish grabbed his second consecutive tournament victory, expanding his winning run to 10 matches in the process, with a firm fought three set triumph over compatriot John Isner in the final of the Atlanta Tennis Championships on Sunday. The 28 year old continued the best form of his career as he came from behind to defeat Isner who distinctively played out the longest tennis match in history at Wimbledon last month 4-6 6-4 7-6. Mardy Fish who appends the Atlanta title to his victory in Newport two weeks ago, also reached the final at Queen’s Club, losing to Sam Querrey that means he has now steps forward to the final in three of his last four ATP ranking tournaments. This is as top performance as I have ever been in my career, I have never won consecutive tournaments in one year, I have never won two successive tournaments in a row and more satisfactory point is I have never won 10 matches in a row. Mardy Fish, who defeated top seed Andy Roddick in the last four and who didn’t dropped a set on his way to the final.
This is extremely cheerless, a third final this year that arguably I could have won, Isner said after the match. I have lost two finals earlier this year when I was up and doing best in both of them, even one of them I was serving on match point. This thrilling contest could have gone either way as well and it is very unsatisfactory for me.

I have used another similar recipe and it did not come out too nice. I think I’ll give this one a go and see if I have much better results.
